I would like to wish you a wonderful year with lots of opportunities to grow, learn and marvel. May it be a peaceful and healthy year for you as well.
Maybe you wonder as I tend to do, about what a year lies ahead of you. Will it be a good one? Will I be able to realize some of my aims and dreams?
For a little help, I turned to the very old art (some say: science) of numerology
In ancient times, numerology was a very important science, which is reflected in the fact that all the old big thinkers as Plato, Socrates and Pythagoras all thought that reality was built on sacred geometry and numbers.
Many of the great cultures (the Egyptians, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Hebrews, Mayans, to name a few), all employed number systems to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the universe.
The Greek Philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras (c. 570 – c. 495 BC) was the founder of today’s Pythagorean numerology system. He combined the mathematical disciplines of the Phoenician, Arabic, Egyptian, Druid and Essene sciences. Since these early days, Pythagorean numerology has continued to evolve and formed the spiritual basis for many secret societies, such as the Masons, Rosicrucians, Anthroposophists and others.
I found some interesting thoughts in the numerological meaning of this years number. See for yourself:
Numerologically spoken, the year 2015 is an 8 Universal year (2015=2+0+1+5=8). Number 8 stands for money and power, but its essence is first and foremost: balance. Because, like all symbols such s letters and numbers, it’s shape reflects it’ s nature. And an 8 only stands upright when it is in balance. And the balance is easily lost when one side is becoming too heavy.
So what are the most dangerous potential sources for imbalance this year? I’m sure you can think of a few:
– Today’s massive technical achievements versus the growing awareness of human ethics and morality
– Rich versus poor
– Tolerant versus intolerant
– Powerfull versus helpless
– (Opinion-) leaders versus followers
…
It seems a bit like mankind is not quite up to the technological progress we’ve been made in the past decades or so, like a little child which has been given the keys to a monster truck loaded with explosives and a voucher for 2 driving lessons….
Well, let’s hope that mankind at least takes time to actually cash the voucher and take those driving lessons….
Personally, I have to stay positive, and so I digged a little deeper and here are some of the possibilities for us this year:
– More backup for gender equality
– Intensified lobby against racism
– More outspoken counter movement against religious extremism
– Humanity as a whole is maturing (and why not step it up even more? (-;)
That doesn’t sound too bad does it? And I work on some ideas to contribute my share to help achieving some of these aims.
What are your aims and wishes for 2015? Please feel welcome to share them with me!
